Hello! I’m Sergio Silva I was born and raised in Curitiba, Brazil a city that has produced more Jiu Jitsu, MMA, and UFC Champions per-capita than any other city in the world! Curitiba is home to MMA Legends like UFC Champion Anderson Silva , former PRIDE FC Grand Prix champion and Wanderli “The Axe Murder” Silva, Also My former students UFC Champion Maricio”Shogun” Rua and his brother, formerStrikeForce ChampionMurillo “Ninja” Rua. It was an honer to have them as my students and help them reach the highest levels of the sport of Mixed Martial Arts and it would be an honer to have you as a student as well! If i can do this for them imagine what i can do for you!Sergio Silva studied Physical Education in Brazil for 3 years and also start taught Judo for pre-school kids since 1992. Sergio Silva started teaching BJJ at age 18 years old(1995).Master Silva also used to work as a counselor for mental disable kids and teenagers at Seneca Center in San Francisco(www.senecacenter.org).Besides to make Champions Master Silva won the 2007 World Championships of Submission Wrestling,also the US Open of 2001,United Gracie in 2003 and the World Grappling Series in Las Vegas in the Advance Division-National Championships.MMA record 1-0.(Won by a submission a mma fight at the first round).

Derrick Easterling
Derrick is a brown belt and professional mixed martial art fighter (currently 2-1-0). Derrick has been a dedicated student of Team Silva for 4 years and as a blue belt, was ranked #1 on the West Coast. In 2007 he was voted best in the west coast. Before he started Jiu Jitsu Derrick came from a troubled back ground with where he was once involved with gangs and drugs but was fortunate enough to cross paths with Sergio who became his good friend and Jiu Jitsu coach and has since changed his life for the better and giving him the opportunity to help others and share what he has learned through his journey.Derrick is married and has a beautiful daughter.
David Thompson

David Thompson
David Thompson has over 20 years martial arts experience he started karate at the age of 6. His father took him around the country where he won and medaled in regional, national, and international competitions. He was a 3 time Washington State Kumite champion when he was introduced to the Gentle Art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He met Sergio when he was living in Seattle and promptly quit Karate and has never looked back. David is a Purple belt and is the 2009 US Open Champion and the 2011 American Cup Brown-Brown Belt Light Weight Champion. He also just recently fathered his first child a daring baby girl.

Joseph Montano has been practicing Martial Arts for over 10 years,He is a black belt of Karate and also has been practicing Kickboxing for several years.He is one of our Mixed Martial Arts leaders with tons of experience fighting and sparring practices.
